Case Managers

Case Management

The Case Manager is responsible for assessing, planning, and coordinating care to meet clients' behavioral health needs. Key duties include completing assessments, treatment plans, and required paperwork, ensuring monthly contact and quarterly home visits, and assisting clients in finding necessary services.

The Case Manager coordinates with agencies and facilitates Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings, working within the Arizona Recovery Model to ensure services are effective and culturally appropriate.

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating actions required to meet the client’s behavioral health needs.

Requirement(s)

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

  • Behavioral health experience required.

  • Must be at least 21, with a valid driver’s license, and pass a background check and drug test.

  • Current fingerprint clearance card, CPR/First Aid certification, and emergency safety response training required.

  • Maintain all annual training (e.g., Fraud and Abuse, Driver Refresher).

 

Therapist

Therapy

The Therapist is responsible for establishing therapeutic relationships with clients and families, setting treatment goals, and ensuring clinically sound decisions to minimize client risk. They provide guidance to both clients and parents, manage conflicts, and utilize emergency safety response tactics when needed. Effective communication with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams is essential, along with facilitating family meetings and maintaining clinical documentation. The Therapist must uphold the mission and values of RMBHS, maintain certifications, and participate in continuous training while meeting all state and agency documentation requirements. A Master's degree in a related mental health field and relevant certifications are required.

Requirement(s)

  • 21 years of age or older.

  • Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) preferred.

  • Enrolled in or completed Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related mental health field.

  • The ability to obtain an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

 

Intake Specialist

The Intake Specialist coordinates referrals, schedules intake and manages client transitions into programs. They complete admission assessments and develop treatment plans, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place for a smooth handoff. The role involves regular communication with internal teams and external partners, supporting program adherence to policies, managing transportation needs, and providing administrative assistance. Additionally, the Intake Specialist trains staff on intake processes, maintains client databases, and participates in team and client meetings to ensure efficient information sharing and client care. Strong communication, organizational skills, and adherence to confidentiality and agency standards are essential.

Requirement(s)

  • Maintain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Hold current CPR/First Aid certification.

  • Provide a clear TB test.

  • Have a clear MVD (Motor Vehicle Division) report.

  • Complete Emergency Safety Response training.

  • Fulfill all required annual training.

  • Required annual training.

 

Direct Care Staff

Direct Care Staff are responsible for providing direct services based on treatment plans, including group and individual skills training, life skills coaching, and general supervision. Key duties include documenting activities, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring proper medication administration. They must communicate effectively with the care team, manage challenging behaviors using redirection and de-escalation techniques, and uphold client confidentiality. The role requires maintaining certifications and adhering to HIPAA regulations, with a focus on client safety and agency excellence. Bilingual and experience with at-risk youth are preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold a safe and secure environment in respite facilities.

  • Foster a positive atmosphere and promote healthy peer interactions.

  • Manage and redirect inappropriate behavior, conflicts, and crises.

  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.

  • Perform basic housekeeping tasks, including laundry and dishwashing.

  • Participate in team meetings and professional training.

  • Collaborate with RMBHS staff to ensure effective client updates between shifts.

Minimum Qualifications(s)

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years of qualifying Behavioral Health experience, or

  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) qualified, or

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a non-related field with 2 years of Behavioral Health experience.

  • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Valid driver’s license and insurability in Arizona.

  • Must pass a criminal background check, fingerprint clearance, and drug test.

 

Life Skill Coach

The Life Skills Coach provides individualized and group coaching to help young clients develop essential life skills such as emotional regulation, social interactions, problem-solving, and goal-setting. The coach works closely with children and adolescents to promote personal growth, self-esteem, and overall well-being.

  • Maintain all required annual training.

The Life Skills Coach also attends Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings, collaborates with clinical teams, and coordinates with other involved agencies.
